With deep community ties, the organisation is tackling Cardiff’s youth unemployment, building skills, transforming futures, and inspiring positive change.

Dad La Soul is reshaping the narrative of fatherhood with its unique Trojan Horse approach. By providing dads with a kick-ass social life and a ready-made, expert, peer-led support network, they create a space for fathers to talk about what they usually ignore. Many dads feel isolated and overwhelmed, struggling with the pressures of parenthood and modern life. Through their sessions, Dad La Soul helps fathers reconnect, find support, and strengthen their roles.

The Will Garvey Trust Foundation, based in Derbyshire, was established following the death of Will Garvey. Its mission is to create ‘talking communities’ to prevent youth suicide. Through Wellbeing Libraries, Workshops, and Care Packs, the Foundation supports young people facing mental health challenges. Their impactful initiatives offer vital resources and reassurance, fostering a community where young people feel heard, supported, and hopeful.

Howarths Foundation tackles homelessness in Yorkshire through training, mentorship, and employment opportunities. Their “Business Building Futures” programme helps individuals rebuild their lives by fostering independence and reducing stigma. Donations support vital services like housing advice and job training, creating hope and dignity for vulnerable people.

Brinsley Animal Rescue is a passionate, volunteer-led charity in Nottinghamshire that offers a lifeline to neglected, injured, and unwanted animals. From ex-farm animals and abandoned pets to injured wildlife, they provide specialist care, rehabilitation, and safe sanctuary. Every animal receives compassion and a second chance, thanks to the team’s tireless efforts and support from their community of animal lovers and advocates.

Founded in memory of Andrea Key, Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity (YBTC) has spent over two decades providing expert, compassionate support to people across Yorkshire affected by brain tumours. Through peer networks, wellbeing events, and financial help, they’re there for families when it matters most. YBTC also funds ground-breaking research in Yorkshire, helping to address one of the most underfunded and devastating cancers in the UK today.
