Slash-and-burn farming is destroying rainforests and sending vast amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. Yet, for more than 250 million farmers globally, it is the only way to survive. Inga Alley Cropping is a sustainable alternative to slash and burn. By supporting farmers to take up this technique, the Inga Foundation gives them the ability to feed their families and improve their livelihoods whilst keeping the rainforest intact. In 2022, the Foundation worked with the Inga Foundation to produce several films to help them raise awareness of this issue and their solution.
