One of the Matthew Good Foundation’s aims is to promote safety and best practices in race medicine following Matthew’s tragic death. Since 2011, the Foundation has supported research and established race medicine authorities. We have now funded the launch of Race Ready Run CIC, which has developed the Race Ready app, offering free expert content on medical issues for runners.
Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Children’s University is dedicated to unlocking the potential of disadvantaged children by providing them with enriching experiences and opportunities to explore their interests and build confidence.
Spurn National Nature Reserve, managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, is a dynamic sand and shingle spit on Yorkshire’s coast, shaped by the Humber Estuary. The Trust’s team focuses on habitat conservation, restoration, and education, offering guided tours and school visits to help people connect with the area’s unique biodiversity.
FiND (Families for Individual Need and Dignity) is a charity in East Yorkshire dedicated to supporting adults and school-leavers with severe learning disabilities and/or autism. Operating from two sites in Cottingham and Hessle, FiND aims to enhance quality of life and independence through a variety of activities.
Clean Ocean Sailing are on a mission to remove marine pollution from the hard-to-reach parts of our shores, doing so sustainably under the sail power of a restored schooner, The Annette, whilst raising awareness about ocean plastics.
Downright Special is a Hull-based charity whose aim is to build a brighter future for children with Down Syndrome by assisting in all aspects of their care and education across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Scotland’s landscape, whilst impressive and what many would use as an example of a healthy landscape, is anything but. Compared to what it was only a few hundred years ago, it is devoid of life. Devastated boggy grassland and treeless moors stretching beyond the horizon has become the dominant land type.
National Park Rescue works to protect African national parks at risk due to the poaching of wildlife. They work on the ground with locally recruited people to restore law enforcement and tackle corruption where it is affecting a park’s long-term survival.
