Rame Community Fund Receives £500 Donation from the Matthew Good Foundation

Members of the Matthew Good Foundation are based all around the UK. During the lockdown, we have received numerous applications from our members to support charities and community initiatives that are working hard to help those affected by the impact of the coronavirus.

Cawsand Bay, Rame Peninsula

One of these applications was for a £500 Championing Grant for the Rame Community Fund in south-east Cornwall. Nominated by Henry Authers, Commercial and Account Manager at John Good Logistics in Plymouth, The Rame Community Fund provides grants of up to £300 for people in need who are resident in the five parishes of the Rame Peninsula (Antony, Maker-with-Rame, Millbrook, Sheviock, St. John).

Throughout the pandemic, the charity has been doing sterling work in the community assisting with food parcels for those considered ‘high risk’ and using local businesses to help key workers with transport and accommodation.

The Rame Community Fund was delighted to receive the grant:

“Thank you for your amazing offer of a £500 donation to Rame Community Fund. On behalf of the Trustees, I would like to thank you most wholeheartedly.  This donation will help us to alleviate hardship and financial difficulties experienced by residents of the Rame Peninsula in the current crisis. Once again, thank you so much for your generous donation.”
