On Sunday 23rd May, a team of John Good Group employees took part in Get Caked and got muddy to raise funds for Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University. Their amazing efforts have raised £1,200 and with double match funding from the Foundation, that’s an incredible total of raised £3,200!
Involving 5 miles of muddy wet fun in the beautiful Yorkshire Countryside of Sledmere House, the team climbed over logs and hay bales, crawled through muddy trenches, jumped through tyres and got very wet while taking on the Sledmere Slide all in aid of charity.
Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Children’s University believes that all children should get the opportunity to see the world beyond the end of their street, no matter where they are from. 1 in 3 children in Hull grow up living in poverty and many of these children have never ventured more than a mile from their homes. Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University provides experiences that raise aspirations, confidence and resilience. They help children to discover talents they never knew they had and they give them the fire in their bellies to achieve their dreams.
A huge well done to all who took part!
