The John Good Group has awarded £15,000 in small charity grants to five exceptional UK non-profits through the third round of Grants for Good 2025. Discover the inspiring projects making a real impact in local communities.

The Matthew Good Foundation is delighted to announce the winners of the third round of the John Good Group Grants for Good programme for 2025. A total of £15,000 in small charity grants has been awarded to five exceptional charities and community groups across the UK. Since launching Grants for Good, the John Good Group has now provided £218,000 in funding. This support helps charities make a real difference in people’s lives and communities.
Grants for Good is designed to support small charities, community groups, and CICs with an annual income under £50,000. These organisations often struggle to access traditional grant schemes. Charities submit a straightforward application outlining their organisation and its purpose. After a shortlisting process, more than 200 John Good Group employees vote to decide how the total funding is shared among the five winners. This approach ensures the grants reflect both the impact of the organisations and the priorities of the employees.
These small grants support a wide range of causes. From tackling accessibility and improving wellbeing to backing grassroots environmental initiatives, they help charities achieve tangible impact quickly. They give growing non-profits the resources they need to expand their vital work.
This round’s recipients are:
🥇Holderness Hedgehog Hospital – £5,000
🥈Paws & Pause – £3,500
🥉Respected – £2,500
🏅Bright Green Nature – £2,000
🏅Worldwide Deaf Gym – £2,000
