Matthew’s Hub receives £500 grant from the Matthew Good Foundation

The Matthew Good Foundation is delighted to donate £500 to Matthew’s Hub following a championing grant application from Joanne Dayes, Management Accountant at John Good Logistics.

Matthew’s Hub is a local Hull-based charity, providing a unique support service for individuals aged over 16, with Asperger’s Syndrome and high-functioning Autism in Hull and East Yorkshire.

The charity offers a wide range of services to build confidence and self-esteem, enabling people to take up volunteering and work opportunities, build friendships and reduce isolation. Matthew’s Hub also provides a variety of social activities and gives advice and support to the whole family along their journey.

The current situation for anyone with Autism is especially challenging, and the charity is trying to help those affected as much as they can via zoom and sending out information and help to those who need it most. The grant will be used to help the charity keep in touch virtually by providing mindfulness activities, quizzes and arts and crafts sessions as well as mentoring.
