After brainstorming with my colleagues to look for a way to raise funds for Charity on a consistent basis, I have created a Monthly Prize Draw known as the ”Lucky 13”. The idea of the draw is to help charities in raising a little something every month, and in the process taking full advantage of what the Matthew Good Foundation has to offer to all it’s staff.
So a little explanation of how I see it working. The ticket cost is £5 for one, with £2 from each ticket bought being donated to a charity
of the winner’s choice. As a little incentive for the players the remaining £3 will be entered into the Prize fund. At present there are 13 participants in our office, hence the name of the draw, this means the total donated will equate to £26, of which the foundation will
match fund amounting to £52 a month. The remaining £39 will go to the winner. The first draw was held on Friday 18th November in the Manchester office. The draw master, Brian Dalby pulled out winning ticket number 2 and Chris Wolstencroft became the first lucky winner. As the winner can choose a
charity Chris chose to donate the money to the Booth Centre for the homeless in Manchester City Centre. If any of the other offices would like to get involved either by creating their own Monthly draw or indeed joining forces with our lucky 13, feel free to get in touch with me.
