Hardmoors 60 Mile Race Update

On September 24th Matt’s friend and close business colleague ran the Hardmoors 60 Mile race in support of the Foundation. His team raised over £1000! The event is renowned as one of the most difficult in the long distance race calendar with a 50% drop out rate.  This year the temperatures were unseasonally high for late September with a strong headwind.

At approximately the 40 mile mark they were finding it extremely tough and the team decided to play it safe to end the race early. We should all commend them on this decision considering what we now know about the effects of heat and long distance running.

Congratulations to the whole team for a very good effort and respectful decision to end early.
