In October Tim Good was invited to see how race medicine was implemented in the Chicago Marathon. The trip was aimed as getting a good idea of how the best and most organised events in the world tackle the issue of runners that need medical assistance. With over 40,000 entries to the Chicago marathon every year they have really perfected and introduced many new procedures, protocols and advances in race medicine. The video above gives a very small snapshot of some of the people and protocols they have at that race. This may give you an insight into the type of project we are looking launch in 2013.
