About Time2Volunteer
Time2Volunteer connects people with volunteering opportunities in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. Volunteers can register to find roles that suit them. Local organisations can also register to share opportunities and find new people. It is funded and delivered by a partnership of HEY Smile Foundation, Hull CVS, East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Hull City Council.
About the Time2Volunteer Awards
Since 2019, the Time2Volunteer Awards have celebrated the volunteers, community groups and organisations making a lasting difference across the Humber region. Each year, people nominate those they want to thank in Hull, East Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire. A panel of judges then selects the finalists.
The awards recognise volunteers in many different roles. In 2026, for example, categories included young volunteers, volunteer trustees and volunteer teams. Local partners and sponsors make the awards possible, and everyone comes together at an annual event to celebrate.
How we support the awards
The Matthew Good Foundation has been a supporter of the awards since 2025. Because we have worked with so many local charities and volunteering groups, it means a lot to help celebrate them. Our support includes:
- Filming the event. We film the awards through our Amplify Charity Films programme. This helps promote the awards to local sponsors and celebrates the winners.
- Creating films for the event. Some award announcements need a film. In 2025 and 2026, we produced films about the special recognition award winners.
- Supporting winners’ organisations. As an extra thank you, we also created an Amplify Charity Film for each of those organisations. They can use it to promote their work.
- Joining the celebration. Our team attends each year. It is a great chance to meet volunteers from charities we have supported in the past.
We have strong ties with many of the charities and volunteering groups that provide services across the area. Supporting the awards is one more way to back the people who make those services possible.

Rosie Bullard wins Special Recognition Award
We were proud to be at the 2025 Time2Volunteer Awards to see Rosie Bullard receive her Special Recognition Award - a genuinely heartwarming moment after everything she's given to Hornsea First Aid Centre and the local community.

Filming at the Hornsea First Aid Centre
The Matthew Good Foundation and Big Picture Charity Films visited the centre to make a short film about the charity. However, we were also on a secret mission they did not all know about! Alongside creating a promotional film about the work the charity does, we also captured footage of volunteers talking about the project's founder, Rosie in preperation for surprising her with a special recognition award at the Time2Volunteer Awards 2025.
