Yorkshire 3 Peaks Trek

A team of over 20 employees tackled the Yorkshire 3

Peaks 25 mile trek on Saturday 21st April to help raise funds for the first project being supported by the Matthew Good Foundation.

With Steve Mudd co-ordinating the group driving the minibus and managing refreshment stops and with support from the directors and family, 15 people managed to complete all 3 peaks with 4 achieving this in under 12 hours, however everyone who took part did exceptionally well. Weather conditions were tough with hail, snow, rain, wind and sun all being thrown into the mix which made for tricky conditions underfoot.

With colleagues from John Good Shipping, Good Travel Management and Mercian Travel joining together, the Gamecock Inn in Austwick was a welcome sight on Saturday evening when the last of the group arrived close to 9pm after trekking for over 13 hours for celebratory drinks and some great food, followed by a superb breakfast on Sunday morning prior to us all returning home for some well earned rest.

At present the total funds raised is not confirmed but it will run into several thousand pounds.

Thank you to all who took part…….more details and photographs will appear over the next few days.
