In my last Foundation email I told you about some IT problems after the Foundation website was hacked. Anyway, it is back up and running along with the email system so we’re on a bit of a catch up in terms of news!
Let me start with congratulating Kay Couldwell from Good Travel Management for running the London Marathon and raising £4155 for BARNSLEY HOSPICE after she lost a friend to cancer only in April this year. Here is a snippet from her Just Giving page:
Running 26 miles is flippin’ hard, but its obviously nowhere near as hard as living with an illness that takes over your whole life, gives you no choices and affects your family for ever. In my ignorance I assumed the hospice was wholly funded by the NHS. Its not. They need to raise £2 million per year to stay open. I know!!! £2 million, I’d better get running!!! Every pound you pledge is matched, then DOUBLED by the Mathew Good Foundation who are helping me in raising as much money as we possibly can to support our Hospice so they can carry on looking after those who need it.
I’ll send another new shot each week until we have caught up!
