Graham Smith and his daughter (along with 7 other friends, all from Felixstowe) grouped together and raised £12,000 for EACH – East Anglia Children’s Hospice!
Kevin Harrison from Good Travel has put forward two Championing applications. The first which has benefited both a local youth group which provides a weekly social environment for teenagers in the Hedon area and is manned by volunteers. Secondly the “Send a Child to School” (SACTS) Charity. Their main aim is to improve children’s education and welfare in Sierra Leone and Malawi.
Sarah Price from the Hull office has been on the Committee of Friends of Thorngumbald School, a registered charity, for almost two years and as such has applied for £1000 to help build a shelter that promotes outside activities and learning in addition to a shelter from the sun in summer.
In March Julie Good made a £500 championing application for the Frederick Holmes School (special needs) to help with a trip for 8 children to visit an outdoors centre in the Lake District as part of a program to promote learning and Independence.
