Last Friday, sites across the group took part in “Wear it Pink” day to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Now.
Breast Cancer Now is a charity that undertakes research and offers life-changing care for anyone affected by breast cancer. This year, over 55,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 11,500 women will die from it. Their mission is to reduce those deaths to zero by 2050, and by wearing pink we have helped to fund the vital research needed to make that happen.
Of course – all across the John Good Group, we love any excuse to eat cake – so most of us also had some treats for sale! This helped to raise quite a bit of extra money, so well done everyone!
The total raised across all the sites was £257.44, which will be double matched by the Matthew Good Foundation to create a grand total of £772.32.
Thanks so much to everyone who took part and raised such a great amount of money for Breast Cancer Now.
