The Foundation has granted £1,000 to Longniddry Tennis Club in the East of Scotland following an application from one of our members who also volunteers at the Club. Longniddry Tennis Club is an all ability tennis club and the only club in the region that offers extra coaching support so that children with learning, physical and/or sensory disabilities can join in too.
While the courts are accessible to all, the very small clubhouse is not and this restricts the level of physical disability that can be accommodated in the classes. The Foundation’s grant will go towards upgrading the clubhouse so it is accessible to all, allowing the club to expand the disability tennis on offer.
